Default Ideas for solving the address problem

So (likely) I'll be filing I-130 for my wife. Likely in th US via one of the
service centers.

But I'm a bit of a nomad. My work (freelance consulting) allows me to work
remotely and I've been taking advantage of this changing countries every
year and addresses every 3-6 months. Been a US non-resident since early
2003. Financially secure but geographically unanchored.

So I may now well be going to LA, but not for 1-2 months and even then I'd
to keep the flexibity to move (initial short-term rental while I find the
right place, unforeseen circumstances etc. etc.).

I've read the horror stories about changing address in this and other forums
and I just can't have that happen to me. I'd also like to be able to file
immediately even though I'd like to wait a couple of months before taking up
residence.

Anybody got solutions to this? I don't want to ask rooted friends to get my
mail. I rent a mailbox from a private business services company for my
business + personal corresp. and its a good deal. They use a suite# so its
not obvious that its a mailbox/mail forwarding arrangement.

Anybody got this or other solutions?

thanks

Let me refine my question:

Is there any reason I can't use an address from a CMRA (commercial mail
receiving agency) for USCIS petitions, applications and forms?. This process
requires me to file a USPS Form 1583 to and Identification documentation so
its quite legit.

Hi Frank,

How would you answer if one of the questions on the forms asks for your physical address, rather than a mailing address?

Well if a form asked for both then I would comfortably give my current
physical address for physical address and the CMRA address as mailing
address. I say comfortably because I'd assume USCIS would use the mailing
address for correspondence and so changing my physical address at a
subsequent point wouldn't mess up the whole plan.

If USCIS change of address process was consistent, efficient and bulletproof
I don't think I'd have an issue. And if my aunt had balls she'd be my
uncle.

I'm not yet completely clear of every form and nuance so I don't know how
this address thing would work. Likely it wouldn't.

The most obvious hitch, to me, is what you will do with all the back and forth with the NVC, after the I-130 is approved. That process is already slow without adding international mail forwarding (and who will do that for you) during the NVC phase of the visa application.

I can't for the life of me figure why it would be advantageous to file the I-130 in the US when you have 2 Consular possibilities in front of you. It's like taking a one-two month process and making it a year+ affair.
