Default i864a question

I am co-signing for a freind and I have a question on page 2 part 1. It says
information on sponsers household member/ or sponsered imigrant household. Who would
that be, the USC or the immigrant? It also says relationship to sponsor.........It
has 2 places to check and I fit neither of those. I am doing this for my friend and
her husband so what do I check? It also ask for length of residence with
sponsor....what should I check for this? Thanks for the advice

You are using the wrong form. You need the straight I-864, NOT the I-864A form.

Even then it can be confusing.
It can be used for both....

a/. Sponsor + immigrant
b/. co-sponsor + immigrant

Ok...since she is the main person signing for her husband and I am the
co-signer...what does she sign and what do I sign? I know I sign the 864 for the
joint sponsor, but does she sign the same thing..confused

Yes, you each complete a *separate* I-864 form. Two are submitted, one from her and
one from you. Alvena
