Default I lost my Advanced Parole!

I was putting together all the paperwork for my AOS interview this Friday
and I realized my AP is missing! I think I left it in the italian consulate
the last time I was there. I know it's too late to ask for another one...
can I go to the interview without it? I don't think it should make a
difference, but it's an INS issued document. Please! Can someone ease my
mind???

They may not ask for it - they didn't ask me for it at my AOS interview.
Mind you I would try to find it if at all possible!!!

Andy.

I'm not really here - it's just your warped imagination.

Even if you find it and take it with you, usually you keep the document minus the I-94. That is the part of the A/P that they are interested in. Occasionally at the POE they will place an I-94 in the passport as well as on the A/P. If you have that, I wouldn't worry much but still try to find it. It could be with your passport, in the handbag you used that day (assuming Gili is a female name), your suitcase, glove compartment of your car, or with your used airline boarding passes/tickets.

I looked EVERYWHERE! My husband's looking in my handbag right now... but
nothing. I know I took it with me to the italian consulate because they
wanted proof that I was a legal resident and could travel freely. That's
the last time I saw it.

No one stapled an I-94 on my AP. It's on my passport. I suppose this is
good?

But after the interview can I travel without my AP? I'm leaving the country
in 10 days!

Thanks.

I'm assuming this is the Italian Consulate in the US right? You had to go there to have a visa issued because you will be traveling there in 10 days? Have you called them to ask if the A/P is there? Perhaps it is with the visa they issued you?

PS Yes you can travel after the interview w/o A/P but only if you are approved at the time of the interview and are given an I-551 stamp in your passport. Since not everyone is approved the same day, if you don't find the A/P, fill out another I-131 and have the ADIT photos with you and apply then and there for a new A/P on an emergency basis. Bring the airline tickets with you.
