I am desperate - any help please!
I am a UK citizen who is desperate to move to the USA to be with my
future wife. Trouble is both she and I are going through a divorce, so
marriage at the present moment in time is impossible although it is
something we will do.
I am doing my best to search for a job in SC so I can be with her and
her children (not mine - although we do plan on having one as soon as
possible between us). I am extremely well (over-?)qualified with
experience in the Confectionery and Bakery trade (although apparently
they call them "gourmet bakeries" in the US), but I have just
discovered that the employer has to pay $1000 to hire me!!! As if I
don't have enough problems! We are both desperate to be together and I
am thinking of anyway I can to get there (and preferably work).
Has anyone any ideas at all - no matter how remote! And is it true
about staying in the USA for 3 months, going to Mexico or Canada for
24 hours and coming back in again for 3 months and so on....
Please help us both.

Not anymore. That law expired by Sept. 30.

Nope. Not possible, at least not for people who enter with a visa waiver
(green I-94W.)

Thank you Ray, Mark and Joe - at least I've learned a little bit here.
Still got a long way to go though. Anybody got any other bits of info
that might help the two of us?

Just how do two people go through divorce, live on two seperate continents,
and plan marriage at the same time????
Next post will be, "help me" my new wife wants a divorce, and I only have a
conditional greencard."

That's a simpler problem to "solve" than the original poster has
