I-485 Question
I am ready to file my wife's I-485 and had a couple of questions.
1. Her K1 is expired but we did get married in the 90 days, does it
matter?
2. Can I take the AOS to our district office here in Dallas or do I have
to mail it in?
3. If I have to mail it in, does anyone know the address?
4. Who do I make the check out to?
Thanks in advance for the help

Can't tell you definitively, but aparently they are pretty forgiving
of such things.

Check the USCIS web site for the answers to the last two questions.
The web page for your local office will tell you the address and
whether or not they accept checks.

Good luck.

File the application regardless of how long after. If she was here
over 6 months after her K-1 expired do not leave the US until she is
granted permanent residency (or she can be denied entry). If it was an
overstay of less time (a few weeks) then that is no biggy.
If you local office allows walk-ins then do that. If they require
mailing then do that. Texas in under Phase Two of the new immigration
filing procedure (so file to the local office). If you are filing in
dallas read this:
"Adjustment of Status:
The Dallas District office is conducting a pilot program designed to
test our ability to complete the adjustment of status process within 90
days of filing, eliminating the need for interim employment and travel
authorization documents and their associated costs. Should you choose
to participate in the pilot program, and if you are eligible, you will
be able to schedule your appointment time through InfoPass. If your
application is complete, you will have your interview for permanent
residence on the scheduled date. Please read about the pilot program
here.
Participation in the Pilot Program is voluntary. Applicants who choose
not to participate, or who are not eligible to participate, should
follow the regular application filing procedures as described below.
Forms I-485 (Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjustment
of Status) that are family based are to be filed by mail with the Dallas
District Office. 8101 North Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, TX 75247. Forms
I-485 that are employment based are to be filed by mail with the Texas
Service Center at USCIS TSC, P.O. Box 851804, Mesquite, TX 75185-1204.
"
Make the check to the USCIS.
