Default I-485 and I-131 notice and receipt

How do they notice you after applying for I-485 and I-131 together.

Do they send notice that they received? (and that would be
individually?)
Do they give receipt number(individual?) something that I could follow
up on line?
For I-131, what do you receive when it approved?
If someone could help me out It would be greatly appreciated.

In our case, we filed the I-485, I-131 and I-765 all together to the Phoenix local office, and they forwarded it to MSC for processing. (Now, all those documents are getting sent to a Chicago address...see www.uscis.gov for details on that).

We received an NOA for each application. The NOA for the I-485 and I-765 had instructions on how to do the biometrics and fingerprinting. The NOAs had individual Case Numbers that you can enter on line to view the status of each application.

Finally, the I-131 resulted in the actual Advance Parole document (2 received in the same envelope, very normal processing). The I-765 resulted in the EAD card, and we are still waiting to hear about an AOS interview from the I-485 application.

That was our experience filing from Phoenix, Arizona, after entering on a K-1 visa. Your experience might be very different, depending on your circumstances, and where and how you are supposed to file your paperwork.

Best Wishes,
Rene

Just curious why you didn't also apply for an EAD?

At first, thank you for the info. Rene.
In my case, Applied K-1 in my country. I married to US citizen in the
US. Why I don't ask for EAD is I will be out of the country and doing
back and forth since he is overseas for his job now. That's why I need
I-131 so bad!

I have a few questions regarding your experience.

-How long did it take to receive your AOS after applied? Do you receive
all together or individually? If individual, any of it takes while to
get it?

-What are the difference between biometrics and fingerprinting? (Do you
think I need both?)

- For fingerprinting, do they notice you the time and place or I make
an appointment?

I really appreciate if you can answer these questions when you can.
Best wishes,

Romy
