Default I-140 and Consular Processing

Hi, my I-140 has just been approved! Now I'm so lucky and excited. How long will it
take me to get an appointment for the consular processing (Germany)?

Thanks, Steven

I would expect two to four months.

Hey, Glückwunsch !

Was your petition filed through TSC ? Just learned that TSC started out-of order
processing and shifting thousands of cases to Nebraska and Vermont, in order to be
up-to-date until May 2002. Still waiting for my EB1 to be approved...

For CP, INS sends the file to NVC, and they then handle preparing it and = sending it
to the consulate. Getting the file to the NVC can take everywhere from= a couple of
weeks to 3 months (INS "efficiency"). The NVC is usually pretty quick to send the
file to the consulate. Once the file is at the consulate, it takes 2-3 months. All in
all, the usual time frame is between 3 and 6 months.

Danke für die Glückwünsche

Yes, TSC I'm so happy to have it now. Hope the next steps will come up soon, can't
hardly wait... hope you will get your approval very soon.
