I-131 is denied
Hi,
I filed I-485 on April 24, 2004 - Adjust Status for Parolee whom from
Indochinese. On February 16, 2005, I filed I-131 (Travel Document) to
request readimission to US, but it was denied because my I-485 was no
longer pending and approved. At this time, I have not received any
letter that indicates my I-485 has been approved, as I am told my I-485
has been proccessing every time I check with Nebraska Service Center
(NSC).
Here are my questions:
1) Is there a way to get the proof of the I-485 approval?
2) Is there another way to reenter the US under this circumstances?
3) Any idea how soon will I get my GC?
Please help.
Thanks,
Huy

Re: I-131 is denied
your I-131 should have been filed before you left
Due to recent changes to U.S. immigration law, travel outside of the United States may have severe consequences for aliens who are in the process of adjusting their status, extending their nonimmigrant stay, or changing their nonimmigrant status. Upon return, these aliens may be found inadmissible, their applications may be denied, or both. It is important that the alien obtain the proper documentation before leaving the U.S.

If you can't get back in, how are you going to go to GC interview. You
may have to switch to consular processing and get immigrant visa to
come back in. May be you need a lawyer now.
BTW, why didn't you come back in within the time frame of AP?

Re: I-131 is denied
I've always been in US, never left US for 13 years. Words from USCIS
that since my I-485 (AoS) is approved, they will stamp my passport
(I-155 stamp) and I would be able to travel w/o any problem.
