Default How much longer??

Hello and Thanks in advance to those who will give me advice,
My husband and I got married on May 16, 2005, we filed our I-130 for him
in August and just got approved in January of this year, filled out the
I-824 which is for the approved petition to move to the NVC so he can
basically get in line for a visa, we were told by our lawyer that we'd
recieve our Visa packet in about a month or so and that would also come
with its share of forms and fees, and according to how everything's
going we should have some type of interview set by the end of the year
early next year, which is just seeming like forever. My husband has
court in Minneapolis on April due to the fact that he got caught prior
to this and well the marriage between us is what has kept him here this
long because they were going to literally deport him back to mexico
during his last court appearance in November, and I'm thankful that they
didn't but I am wondering how much longer because according to the
judges remarks at our last court date that if we were approved the the
USCIS by the April court date he would either be deported or given
voluntary leave, which means he's got about 3 months max to go back to
mexico until we have our interview which is supposedly going to be in
Ciudad Juarez and until then we'll find out if my husband can come back
or not, but how much longer will he be gone if the visa is taking as
long as it does. . . .does anyone really have some general idea of how
long it is from filling out the NVC papers to the interview date, and
what all is needed then during that time and how long after that is a
person able to work legally?? Before marrying my husband I honestly
didn't think it was going to take this long but my husband is well worth
it, but how much longer and how many more forms and fees are going to
come our way and how long is he going to have to be gone. . .all this is
really frustrating but we're getting through this, I'm happy when I read
these other threads of couples who've gone through the process and are
now in the last stages it's a lot to go through, i'm just hoping
everything goes smooth until the end. Well i'm done venting. . .I
hadn't been able to find a site where other people could relate to what
my husband (25) and me (21) are going through, it gives me hope!! Wish
everyone the best in their processes.
Thanks in Advance, Cristina
