How long to citizenship

My GC application (marriage-based) was approved last December in Pittsburgh and I
received that fabulous card in the mailbox early March. (Three months, not bad!)
Anyway, my question is: How long does it take now to get a US citizenship? Any
pointer to a useful website for this matter will be greatly appreciated. My GC was
approved exactly on Dec. 7, 2000. Assuming the best possible scenario, when is the
earliest date I can get the citizenship? Is it 3 years or 5 years from Dec. 7, 2000?
Much thanks in advance for any help.

I think it's 4 years, at least that's what I've always been told.

If it's marriage based it's 3 years from the time you received your first greencard
(conditional or otherwise). If it's not marriage based then I believe it's 5 years
(or at least it was 5 years).
Cheers, Evan
Of course that's not including time for going through the process and all that. :P
I'm sure you could probably tack on an extra year or two depending what center you
end up dealing with, just like with AOS.

You can apply three years less 90 days from Dec. 7 2000 - roughly (and I haven't
calculated the date accurately) September 8th 2003. Obviously there will be the
processing time on top of that.
