My wife is a PR. We got married after she got the GC. Currently, I am a student
holding F-1 visa. The petition for my immigration has been approved but no visa
number available. I heard that I still can get work permit and reentry permission
that allows me re-enter the United States if I visist another country. Would anybody
give me any suggestion how I can do that? Thanks ahead.

The only thing that would work is getting an H1B, which requires that you have a job
offer and have at least a bachelor degree. Unlike the F1, the H1B allows immigration
intent, so you would be able to come back to the US if you travel abroad.
