Help with TN extension application
Hi:
I have to extend my TN visa in a couple of months and Iwant to do it on my
own. A year ago I hired a lawyer to do the original application for TN and I
saved all documents that were used in the process. Is there a good resource
so I can take care of the extension application myself? (book, web sites)
Thanks,
Kayda

As far as I know, there is no "extending" a TN. And you cannot make
application for yourself for a TN in any case. There must be an offer of
employment from the employer listing, among other things, the exact dates of
employment.

Well, not completely true.
The TN employer may file Form I-129 to extend the TN status of its
employee. You are correct that the employee files nothing.
Application may also be made by exiting the U.S. and applying for
admission at the border; this is technically not an extension but a
readmission for a new period of time.

Are you Canadian or Mexican? That'll make a huge difference as to the best choice for you.
