Well I went to get my ADIT photos done during. I passed the M-378 spec sheet to the
photographer. told him that the photo must be at least 4 cm x 3.5 cm etc. Well he got
a headache. took a test shot but didn't meet the specs of 1 in from left cheek to
ear. I told him that I will try to find an easy way to explain it to him (I'm in
singapore) and will try again soon after consulting the experts on the NG
Will a 'photo me' instant photo booth work ? If I tell the photographer here visa or
passport sized, they give me something totally different.

Delany,
I'll bet the US embassy can recommend a photographer who is familiar with the ADIT photo specifications. Embassies generally have 1 or more nearby photographers where they send people who show up with unsuitable photos for their visa applications.

Some have reported using the Photo Me booths with success.
You just have to make sure the photos meet the M-378 specs. ANY photographer with
half a brain can do the shots. If you use the booth, make sure it has a WHITE
background. If it does not, purchase a sheet of white poster board and use it.
(Not assuming that it is easy to find poster board, so hope the background is
already white.)
Just make sure the photos meet the specs.
