Default H1B Visa Sponsorship Question

I have been laid off for some time. I hold H1b for the last position.
Now I found a company want to hire me as contracter but
not willing to sponsor my H1B visa. Is there any way that I can
find a company which will sponsor my H1B and make contract with the
company that want to hire me?

Thanks very much.

I'm sure any number of professional services companies would be delighted to help you, as you are "money in the bank" so to speak. I was hired by a services firm last spring under exactly the situation you describe.

However, they will need to see a recent pay stub to show you are still in status. You sound as if you are not in status, so you may need to start the H1 process all over again. If so, I trust you have left the US, otherwise you may be here illegally.

Consult an attorney.

Can you name a few companies that offer this kind of service?

I have transferred to other kind of VISA after laid off. That's
what company attorney suggested to me.
The attorney said I can still transfer back to H1 if I get job.

For the H-1B, you can offer to pay the $130 filing fee, but the employer must
pay the $1,000. I am an immigration attorney and you may email me at
[email protected] for more info.
