Default h1b visa offer validation

I am from Pakistan. I have been offered h1b visa from a US company.
Company will further relocate me at client site. They people have asked
me to deposit some amount as refundable security. Please help me find
out how can i validate the existance/legal status of company and about
genuiness of their offer in order to avoid any financial loss/fraud.
Any further advice for myself...

Reputable companies don't ask for "refundable security". This type of company is what gives the H-1B program bad press.

Please make sure it is not a scam to knock some money out of your
pocket. Basically, the employer has to pay for the H1B, so there's no
reason for you to deposit money at this point.

Go to www.google.com and type in the company name, and read about them. Find out how big of an organization it is, etc. Then go to www.bbb.org and again do a search for that company. This is the "Better Business Bureau". It will tell you if anyone has any complaints against that company, and some details on their status as a company in the USA.

I agree with the other posters. A reputable company shouldn't ask you to put any money up front.
