H1B visa delay, what to do?
Hi,
I applied for H1B visa at US consulate in canada about 3 months ago and
the status is still pending. I still have my I-94 with me. However, my
F1 visa was cancelled by visa officer after the interview. Visa officer
told me that I will have to wait for 4 to 6 weeks or more for the H1-B
visa. I would like to know what can I do at this time.
1. Try to go back to US, since I still have my I-94 attached (concerned
that they will not let me go because they know that my visa is still
pending).
OR
2. Go to US embassy (concerned that they will not let me go inside the
embassy).
OR
3. Stay in canada (concerned that my employer will not wait too long).
OR
4. Leave US since I have found temporary job in Canada (concerned how
can I surrender my I-94 to US officials)
Any suggestions?
