Default H1B Q....Please HELP!!!ASAP!!!!!

Hi,
I am a student pursuing my second Master's. Last week was offered a full time job at a very reputed company and they want me to start with the work ASAP! But due to the limited H1B quota and issual of the VISAS only by Oct, I am in a fix!
1.) Can my employer file for my H1B and I can start working immediately? What kinda status would I be in during the period I start working and my H1 gets approved from INS?
If 1.) is not possible, is there any way out so that I can start working ASAP! Right now I am in F1 VISA status........
Please lemme know...since TIME is of the esence, I would appreciate quick replies!
TIA

I do not think you can do anything with that. you are out of luck. H1B cap
for this fiscal year is exhausted.

Unfortunately, you can't get an H-1B right now, and can't start working
until October.

You could talk to your international student advisor and see if an OPT or
other work authorization may be available to help you bridge the gap.
