Default H1B Problem

Folks:

I am an H1B holder for the past 4.5 years. At the end of the first 3 years
my original employers did not extend my H1B. However I did get another
company to sponsor me. While these papers were being processed, I got yet
another job offer that paid significantly more money.

Eighteen months later I realized that I was in violation, all this time.

Now I am out of work and looking into the possibility of going to Canada.

I am wondering if US Law allows for this violation problem to be corrected
without having to leave the USA. I know this is a long shot. But is there
any Governor, Congress Person, etc that I can write to with a request for
some mercy or discretion ? Any useful suggestion appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Joe Jack.

Default H1B Problem

Did not know that I had to file additional papers once I got the third job.

If I were you, I would not try to handle this on my own. Consult an lawyer.
At most it will cost a hundred bucks for a half hour consult...
