Hi,

I hope somebody can help me with my following questions. My husband is here in the US
on a H1b visa, he is applying through his company for a green card. When he will be
approved and will get a labor certificate can he work for another company here in the
USA? What are the steps we can expect and is there any way we can shorten the
procedure?

Also, I understand that once my husband has a green card I can start applying for one
too. My h-4 visum will expire in May 2002, and I'm afraid I will not yet have a
approval for a green card at that time. Do I need to go back at that time? (with my
kids, since they are in my passport) Or is there any way I can get a temporart visum
to bridge the waiting period?

Any help on these issues will be greatly appreciated!

We really want to stay in the USA!

Thank you, Pietsje

Basically no way to shorten the process. Some lawyer may speed it up a little bit,
but no big difference.

The greed card will arrive both for your husband and you at the same time. You
can stay in the US as long as your husband holds H-1b. Hope this helps.
