Hi

I am on an H1b my 4th Year. My company is filing for GC. Is there anyway to track the progess of the application?

I do not want to sit in Perm Labour for 2 yrs.

Please advise

Hey

For the Perm labour application, I'm not sure there is a way to track the progress. However, nowadays it is usually very fast (few months). You can check processing time here: http://icert.doleta.gov/

For the actual green card (I-140 and I-485 forms), you can use the USCIS online tracking system once the application has been submitted and the application receipt number has been sent back to you (or your lawyer). See https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do

Take a look at the free form G1145 on uscis.gov - that provides updates text message/email if it was sent with the rest of forms.
