H1B promotion to the new position in a company question ?can H1B person employe

hi there

I am here on H1B visa and would like to get any information on opening my own construction company and also am I able to employ people . please any advise . also will it effect my Green Card application which I am waiting for.

Any additional employment would violate your status. Hiring, tracking employee hours, looking at projects, managing a business would all be considered unauthorized work.

As long as you do this strictly as an investor, you can do it. You would
have to hire a manager to actually run the company, though.
