Greencard Interview

A relative and his spouse had a Greencard interview. They answered some question
inconsistently because of the wife's slightly poor comprehension of English and
extreme anxiety. They are worried sick. Will this affect the wife's admission as a
permanent resident? Also, does the INS normally keep the immigrants work permit after
the interview? This couple have been married for over four years and would love to
remain married. If the spouse is deported, how can they ever get back together --
this would be a very sad incident? By the way, this application is based on marriage.

Thanks for any suggestions.
