That would explain the Embassy's complete disinterest in my financials , I self sponsored, now Wife is well over income limits but saw no point in bringing her into it.

I knew they do not take into account your home, the one you will be living in for the reasons you state, but they will the one if you are selling/renting.

There are essentially 2 options:

He gets a job that earns more than the minimum, I think it works out at about $7.00 an hour.

You find a US relation/friend who is will to be a co-sponser and has an adequate income.

If you do not have the Capital it is am otherwise insurmountable hurdle.
