Great news (a little late!)
Hey there everyone! greg is finally a conditional permanat resident! We didn't even use the Advanced Parole we spent so muhc money on, but I don't care!
He's got his stamp, and they say his green card will be here in 3-4 months. Yay! The intervew was pretty painless...I put 5 hours in the parking meter and only needed 45 minutes... mostly just silly questions and the money issues, which I was most worried about, but I qualified! so, all is good... we've just moved into a new house and are really enjoying all that Portland has to offer, including the nice people at immigration....
So, all told, it took about a year, which I consider very lucky... it could have been much worse.
Good luck to everything and let your love guide you....

Yeehaw!!! Congratulations!
Wow, they really moved butt on the AOS. We filed on August 15, 2003 (along with the AP & EAD which we received back in less than a week from filing! - Denver office). I get fingerprinted on August 23, so hopefully our application will move along as quickly, or at least as close, to your timeline.
Sounds like you are both settling in and enjoying your life together.
Again, congrats!
Cheers,
Nic

thanks everyone! May all your applications move swiftly through the systems, but just remember, no matter how long it takes, we all have one common goal: to be with our loved ones.
I was in such a hurry to write all that, my spelling was appalling! (probably still is)...
