Granted 6 months stay on VWPP..

Hi,

I was just looking through my passport today and I noticed a pretty interesting
stamp.. I travelled to the US on the VWPP February 2001, and on admitted until it
says August 10 2001.. Which is 6 months... I'm no longer in the US, but I am curious
to know, would it have been legal for me to stay for 6 months? I would assume that
the INS officer made a mistake....

Hm... was it at the time when the VWPP hadn't been renewed yet so people were being
let in on that strange parole thing?

But, hey, indeed they're not perfect - the first US entry stamp I got has the
wrong date!
