Default Going for interview on Visa Waiver

Hi,

is it possible and legal to go for job interviews in the US on the Visa
Waiver?
Maybe you even have a link to an official site which states it?

Thanks a lot

It is possible and legal to attend job interviews on VWP. However you need to return to your home country after your 90-day authorized stay is over and, if a job is offered, apply for the necessary visa there.

I wouldn't mention that you're visiting the US for job interviews at the port of entry though...

Hi:

Personally, I would recommend departing foreign BEFORE the 90 day period is over.

Whilst it's perfectly legal, you won't find an official US government or embassy website which states as such (I've looked!). I went for a job interview under the VWP and provided you don't receive any money (expenses are OK though) then you're fine. I wouldn't mention it at the airport since you might be asked "what happens if you get the job?"... Chances are you'll be going somewhere touristy anyway and millions of Brits go on holiday, so no worries. Just have your hotel booked, your return ticket handy and enough money for your stay. The advice about returning home for a visa is correct though.

Sorry I can't help you there. I haven't got many contacts myself.

The best of luck
Patrick
