Could anyone update me on the current procedure for getting an H-1B
visa stamp for male Indonesian citizen within the "high-risk" age
group?

I suppose the ~3mos security check is still needed. But I heard that
you can now make the appointment at a US consular office in Indonesia
while you are in the States. So, presumably you can have the security
check done while you are still in the States, waiting for the
appointment. Is this correct?

Also, can a male Indonesian citizen within this "high risk" age group
still get an H-1B visa stamp in Canada or Mexico?
