Hi,

I am currently working on an H1B visa in the US and am going to apply for GC through my
wife who is a US citizen. As I was starting to fill out some of the forms, I was not
unclear on some of the questions. I was hoping that someone here might be able to help me.
Here's where I have doubts:

1. Alien Registration Number - On the form G325A (biographical infromation), at the
bottom, it asks for my alien registration number. Since I am only on a work visa, I
dont have it. Should I leave it empty? What goes in there? My wife will also be filling
out one of these and since she is a citizen (naturalized), she does not have one
either? Should I fill out G325A or another form for the biographical information? The
form explicitly asks for the alien registration number. Please advice.

2. Visa Number - I have the valid visa on my passport. However, I dont know where I can
find the visa number. There are too many numbers on the visa.

3. Work Authorization - I have applied for work authorization on 2 ocassions. Once for
curriculum practical training after I graduated from a US university. For this one I
received an EAD card in the mail. Since I did the paperwork thru the university and a
long time back, the only thing that I have with me is the EAD card that has since
expired. Is it ok to just attach a copy of the EAD card as proof? The second time I
applied for work authorization was when I applied for the H1B1 visa. I think I have all
the paperwork for this one. But, would it suffice to attach a copy of the approved form
I797A from the INS, or do I have to attach all the paperwork for the H1 visa?
