GC Application
Hi All,
My wife (US citizen) applied for a GC for me at the US Embassy in London
about 2 months ago. I am told the process normally takes 3-5 months.
Is there a way we can see how the application is progressing - or is it just
a case of "no news is good news"? and crossing everything crossable?!
We were hoping to be over there sometime after Christmas (this year)!
TIA

She applied for an immediate relative visa for you. If successful, you
will receive the greencard sometime after you enter the US (several
weeks to a year later). You probably know you will not actually receive
a greencard at the Embassy.

"No news is good news." Simply wait. I don't think you can get the
status by calling the "information" line. You could try to email them (I
don't know the address) but they may not be able to provide status that
way.
