Hello there! Currently I have F1 status..I would like to know if there is any legal way I could obtain green card (other than marriage). My status is good till June 2006.
Right now I am in a Community College. I just applied to an University...after they will issue me another I-20, will my status still be good till June 2006 or it will change according to the period required by the new school to finnish their program? I hope someone can help. thank you.

There are few ways you can apply for green card other than marriage:
1. Employment based
2. Through relatives
3. Through GC lottery
4. Though asylum
5. Through investment
Your status is valid till June 2006 as long as you remain a full time student in the regular semesters. Once you receive a new I-20 from the university, you will have a different end date (most likely a date past June 2006)
I suggest you explore all your options in choosing a career in the US and find something you like to do.
Good luck !
