I have heard it is not possible to purchase a one-way ticket from Manila to the USA
for my Filipina fiancee outside of the Philippines. Is this true? If so, what is the
best way to get my roundtrip ticket and her one-way ticket flying back with me?
Thank You, Aaron

I also have heard that but I know I did purchase a one way trip for myslef last year
after living there for awhile as an immigrant and I purchased mine over the internet
at a very good price and had no problems. And when my petition is approved and she is
ready I intend to try and purchase hers here also, so IO cant say for sure if I can
get one for her or not.

You can buy the ticket here,(E-Ticket), However the paper ticket has to be issued in
the Philippines. Thru Northwest, it can just be picked up at the airport.

Your fiancee' can purchase a one-way ticket in Manila.
In fact, quite a number of travel agencies there provide competitive rates. She just
has to inquire/canvass to get the best offer for that period (by phone is okay). The
only prerequisite is to show a valid fiancee' visa. It is when one has a B1/B2
(tourist visa) that s/he will be required to get a roundtrip.
As for your ticket, it will be relatively cheaper if you book a roundtrip from the
internet or a travel agent here (again, canvass for the best price) compared to just
getting a US-Manila here and buying two Manila-US tickets there.
