Fingerprints Rejected by FBI

Fingerprints Rejected by FBI
We received a notice from the INS the other day that stated that the fingerprints they took in conjunction with our AOS application were rejected by the FBI because they were "not classifiable". Now my wife has to go back to have them done again - ugh! I imagine this will slow down the approval process. Has anyone else had this happen? I'm not sure what to make of it.

Re: Fingerprints Rejected by FBI
Hi Carl
Same thing happened to me and I'm not sure if the second ones went
through as I had a small sliver on one finger and the fingerprint tech
kept saying that the one thumb print was not coming through clear
(whatever that meant). He sent them off anyhow, apologizing to me and
saying it was the best he could do. It has been weeks and weeks since
I had the second ones done. In the meantime I have an AOS scheduled
for December 23rd. Is there a possibility that at the interview they
could also tell me the second set of fingerprints also have come back
unclassifiable?

Hey Margaret!
There is the possibility that they'll tell you that at the interview.
My husband was told that at our AOS interview on 11/26. That was the
reason we did not get his green card stamp in his passport that day!
We went that same day to have them redone and they told us it would be
7-10 days and then we'd get a letter stating when he could come in for
the stamp. 7-10 days, my butt! lol I'm not holding my breath...
Good luck!
