i m new here , please, can anyone helpppp
waiting for my fbi name check 2 yrs now and i tried my senator for help
and i received a letter from him pending case as become normal and also a
letterhis office received from the FBI stating that is my case is CURRENTLY
IN PROCESS and at the end fbi says that they cant give an exact time but
assure the constituent that the results will be availaible as QUICKLY as
possible.
can u tell me please from the fbi letter if theres any chance for a quick
responce !!??

An Excerpt from the 2007 Ombudsman report ....

There are now 93,358 more cases pending the name check than last year. Perhaps most disturbing, there are 31,144 FBI name check cases pending more than 33 months as compared to 21,570 last year – over a 44 percent increase in the number of cases pending more than 33 months.41

I have a friend waiting for three and a half years, his lawyers tried to speed up the process but to no avail, all responses from the FBI were basically "We have to make sure our borders are secure"

It seems that the only way to perhaps speed up the process is to take out legal action against them
