Does SS get the info via computer from DOHS?

Really? I got a permanent CA DL just by showing passport + SSN..
Then again, maybe they DID run a name check..

Really? I got a permanent CA DL just by showing passport + SSN..
Then again, maybe they DID run a name check..

All sounds like BS to me, I got my full 5 year license 2 months ago by producing my EAD and a SSN, nothing else was required from me.

Call it what you want, I am only reporting what I was told. Maybe the DMV did thier 'legal presence' check on you so quickly and without delay, that the process was transparent. I think that the DMV has now in place some procedure to verify with the DHS, the authenticity of documents presented.
