Perhaps he is free to move around the country. But then he doesn't take into consideration that you have to have lived in your new county for xx number of days before you are eligible to file. That can knock the entire timeline straight to Timbuktu and back.

You guessed it right. I am planning on switching jobs and willing to move in
one of the states that fall under a certain office that might help me get a
faster response time for my citizenship down the road. Does anyone know the
answer to my question?

Thanks.

I don't know the answer to your question... but yours is very likely the most stupid reason I've heard to move to a specific state!

I don't know the answer, but keep in mind that the fastest office today might not be the fastest office when you qualify to use that office! I don't know if anyone can tell you the answer, I don't think there is a published list of N-400 process comparisons by office. Even if there were such a list, it would soon be outdated. Processing times change all the time.

Another educated guess would be that he wants quick naturalization so that he can petition for someone to come to the US. Perhaps a future spouse or a parent.

To the OP, you can look up the various Service Centers for their timelines on naturalization and from there also check the district office you would be using. As I mentioned you still have to wait for the eligibility to kick in for the county you move to in order to file. Not 100% sure but believe it is 30 days.

Even district offices such as NYC are doing naturalization in six months. Bear in mind that if there is a delay it usually is the fault of the security checks. Until that is cleared, you can't be sworn in. For some people that means years.

You need 3 months minimum residence time in the district before you are
eligible to file. Not sure it makes any sense to do that. I heard
Houston office has been pretty fast.

I found this site extremely helpful while going through the N-400

http://immigrationportal.com/

It has several forums discussing timelines/experiences for different
areas. And it's quite up to date.
It could be a good idea for the OP to check it out. There's hours (if
not days) worth of reading there.

Following the USCIS website link below, it gives the processing times of all the local offices. You will have to go through each office and compare their processing times.
