Ashish,

Check the following website for links to the I-130 time-line web site, and for links to
other excellent sites that will have answers to most of your questions.

It should do - but not because it's a Bush administration. It should eventually (probably
after your timeframe) speed up because of an act signed into law last year (originated by
a Democrat btw) which calls for funding to reduce the immigration backlog.

Andy.

Speed up under Bush? You are joking aren't you? The country is now in backward motion and
perhaps this will be the administration that promotes a new revolutionary war.

BTW VSC is one of the slowest for the I-130.

Oh give me a break! I'm assuming that you are democrat since you think so lowly of Bush.
You just go ahead and listen to the democrats tell you that he is dividing this country.
Have you ever thought that there are at least half of this country's people who believe in
what he is doing? And he's not against immigration. I'm more proud now to call myself an
American than I was prior to Jan 2001! I was embarrassed with the prior occupant of the
White House, and he was from my state!

By the way, TSC is now only processing I-130 applications from May 2000, while VSC is on
July 2000.

Ladies,

I remember the days when some guy named panvet used to be chastised for the impropriety
of embellishing his advice with his political views. Thank goodness RJ came along and
chased him away.

Actually I'm a Conservative (another name for Republican). Hey you are entitled to your
opinion. No not half of the country is for him. He didn't win the majority popular vote
... only won it because of the electoral college vote and a brother in office in a pivotal
state and a set of judges in the pocket of the party who procrasinated on making a
decision until it was too late. But I don't vote a party vote. Never have; never will.
Parties (political ones) suck ! All they are good for are lining the pockets of big
members. As for embarrassment, I promise not to tell you when your face is red when the
prez's antics are held out to dry on the white house lawn. If you consider Clinton an
embarrassment, then you must have considered the results of this election one as well. Of
course he is not against immigration. He ran on that platform to curry the vote of new
Americans. That plus the money men who run big business need the migrate workers to fill
their coffers and in turn his. Get real and look at the facts in front and behind the
scenes. Time will tell if the men he has chosen to advise him where good choices or not.

So that doesn't make Vermont all that much faster now does it Two months ahead won't
win them a gold star in my book. They should all be doing January 2001 application now.

Arkansas? I just read the Governors mansion burnt down today. It was a very bad fire,
pretty much took out the whole trailer park.

Don't assume anything.... I am a Republican and I can't stand Bush.

In our FWIW column: You are entitled to your opinion, that is the way our country works.
But be informed that disagreeing with the choice for president does not automatically
classify one as a democrat...IMHO, there were NO good choices in the last election.

My suggestion is that we all wait and see how things are four years from now and compare
notes at that time. I'm willing to give the man a chance, after all he is the
president...but I'm not impressed that he started off by suggesting mixing church and
state, and appointing someone who is know to be rather anti-immigration to head of INS.
But I'm willing to wait and see...after all, I really have no choice in the situation.

It will be interesting to see how long he maintains that "deer in the headlights" gaze as
time passes, have you ever noticed how when he is asked a question he has that particular
look? haha
