Default Family based immigration application/pregnancy

I really need advise!!!

My husband, my son and I am currently going through the process for Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration.
This is being sponsored by a family member who is a citizen of the US.

I have a question. My interview and Medical will be in approx. 2-3 months. Their may be a chance that I am pregnant. If I am pregnant (3 months by the time the interview comes through), will this affect any part of the process. (obviously I know that I can not allow an x-ray to be taken at the medical), but my question is aimed more toward the sponsorship. Would our sponsor have to be able to support an additional person (although unborn)? Is there anything else I shuold be aware of?

Thank you in advance.

A pregnancy should not make much difference. I don't think he has to show
support for an unborn person.

There is one thing you should be aware of: if the immigrant visa is
approved, you have a limited time to use it (six months). Since you should
not be flying during the last weeks of pregnancy, there is possibly a
timing issue that you need to take into account.

Other things to note:

- if the child is born in the US, he or she will automatically be a US
citizen from birth.
- deliveries in the US can be expensive, and chances are that you won't be
able to get US health insurance in time. So be sure to either have enough
money, or that your foreign insurance will cover you. Otherwise, your
sponsor would have to pay for the delivery.

Thank you very much for your post. I now know that I am not expecting - which I am quite relieved about. We know we want to have a baby but I would rather venture down that path when we are settled in our new home and jobs etc....

Once we are established, am I right thinking that our medical insurance will cover hospital bills for labour etc... ?
I understand it can cost around $5,000 - 10,000 +
Surely we wouldn't pay insurance PLUS this fee on top?

Health insurances vary widely in their terms and coverages, so it is
impossible to give you a general answer.

But as a rule of thumb, if the employer provides health insurance for the
employee and family, then the hospital bills are usually covered.
