Has anyone, or does anyone know anybody who has got to the visa interview and medical and not been given the visa. I'm sure it happens and other than not having the proper documentation or enough proof regarding support I wouldn't mind knowing some potential pitfalls that may lay ahead of me!

Also, how detailed is the medical? What do they check (please don't say "your health") for?

Dont worry about the medical, I passed it and im overweight and diabetic.
The tests are for TB and Aids I think.

I just did my medical. It seemed fairly routine. What really helped was taking records of my immunizations and results of a recent test for TB that I had coincidently had for work. So I did not have to have those tests done (which saved some time), and some of the immunizations - eg., MMR. But I had to have a few remaining shots, one blood test for HIV, syphilis etc. (all negative, I am happy to report!) Other than that it was nothing major, and these INS approved doctors seem to do this full time, so they know the drill inside out. It is very "cash-upfront" though, so have your money on you!
