F1 to AOS via Marriage
My friend is a US citizen residing in the US. Her husband (of 4
years)is in the US on a F1 student visa.
What does my friend have to do so that her husband can get a green
card?
Does she have to file the following:
I-130
I-485
I-765
I-131
Am I missing anything? How long does the process take? Assuming that
the green card process takes 3 years, can her husband apply for
citizenship right away or does he have to wait another 3 years?
Thanks in advance to any replies
Regards...

Re: F1 to AOS via Marriage
Also need two G-325's, one for her and one for him, Affidavit of Support
I-864, lots of documentation for all these forms, i.e. new style USCIS
photos, certified marriage certificate, copies of I-94, tax transcripts for
three years, bank letter, employment letter, etc. Plus a separate check for
the fingerprinting fee ($70).
Everything is to be sent to the USCIS district office where they live and
NOT to the service center unless they happen to live in the jurisdiction of
Baltimore, MD. Timeframe for adjudication could be 6 months to 3 years. A
lots depends on where filing, completeness of application, and no referrals
for [more] evidence.
He is not eligible for citizenship until 90 days before the third
anniversary of the day he becomes a [conditional] permanent resident.
Depending on the length of time it takes for that to finalized it would be
anywhere from four years from now to six years from now. And even then he
has to be married to the same USC for three years and still married to them
at the time of the oath ceremony after the naturalization interview and
testing.
