Re: F-1 visa - although criminal record?
Thanks to all of you.
"First you wanted an F-1, now you're after a tourist visa... why is it so urgent that you come to the US? Billions of people live quite happily never coming to the US... why is it so urgent for you?"
I cancelled my language course program, but already booked the flight(yeah i know thats stupid) and already paid for the SEVIS fee. So a visitors visa was just the final chance and Its just hard to let it go, if you had it all planned out you know..
Anyway thanks for your advice, Ill just let it go now and try to apply for a visa in a couple of years with the right preparation (like a lawyer )
Times just too short, I didnt think there would be such massive problems when I planned the trip. Im now heading for the UK, I hope Ill have a good time there, maybe in Brighton

I suspect that the situation will be identical then as it is now. 5 years minimum trouble-free is what I would give it.
But the lawyer is the defining point here. And I'm not your lawyer etc etc
