Default Expediting US citizenship application in a special case?

Wondering if there is a process to expedite the application for the US
Citizenship in this special case.

I'm a US Citizen. My wife has a permanent resident status in the US.
Do to political changes in Latvia the country she was born in she does
not hold ANY citizenship for the past ~10 years. Her only legal status
is US resident and she is not a citizen of ANY country. She also has
and used the US Reentry Permit or as some have called it "White
Passport". Any info would be greatly appreciated.

From the facts you have given, USCIS will not expedite your wife's =
citizenship case. What hardship is she suffering from not getting U.S. =
citizenship before the usual processing time? She can live in the U.S. =
as a permanent resident, and she can even travel to several countries =
using her reentry permit. =20

I was simply wondering. There is no hardship as you state. Its been
almost 15 years, they lost files 3 times etc. to get to this point.
Only hoping to have all of the INS troubles behind us.

Thank you for your reply.

Are you saying she applied for citizenship 15 years ago????

Have you talked to your congressperson?

There is a difference between getting *expedited processing* and getting
attention for a case which is *beyond usual processing time.* It sounds as
if your wife's case has taken longer than usual. As Lucy suggested, your
Congressperson can help you with this. Call the local office of the Member
of the House of Representatives for your district, and ask to speak with a
case worker in charge of immigration inquiries. This is the kind of case
that the Congressperson can assist with very efficiently.
