Default Employment Auth. for L2

I have recently relocated to Bay Area, California on a L1 visa and my spouse is on L2. Can you please advise:

1. Is it easy for a L2 holder to get employment auth.

2. How long is the processing time.

Thanks

1. He or She just needs to apply- file the I-765 with proof of entry into the U.S. on L-1 and L-2 and copies of your visas.
2. All employment auth cards must be processed within 90 days.

Here is a helpful link about Employment Authorization:

All employment auth cards must be processed within 90 days
USCIS have a internal time limit of 90days, but by all means they don't HAVE to do it by the 90days.
I've seen people get the EAD (I-766) in as little as 2 weeks, and I've waited as long as 6 months if you get a RFE....

Complete Form I-765 from the USCIS.gov website, following the instructions very carefully.

Then if you have any questions, come back and let us know....many of us have been through it....several times....

Good luck
