We received notice today that we have been scheduled an interview date - 5 July 2011!

Very pleased to finally have it, but was wondering if anyone has had any luck in bringing forward their Immigrant Visa interview date?

That seems a long time to wait hopefully it can be moved forward.

I thought you had to call the embassy on the premium line and they would give you an appointment date.

How did they contact you with the date?

As the EB5 is an immigrant visa you receive a letter from NVC with a date for the interview.
For non-immigrant visas you are able to phone and arrange your own interview.
I have phoned NVC and was told that any changes had to be done through London.
I then phoned London and only managed to get through to the switchboard, they informed me that I was lucky to get the 5 July!

How long from submitting your application to the Embassy did you receive confirmation of your interview date?

My application went in the Friday before last, so I'm trying to get an idea of how long it will be before I receive my interview date confirmation.

Our file was sent from NVC to London on 19 May, we heard on the 26 May that our date had been set for 5 July.

Thanks for the confirmation. On that basis, I'm hoping to hear back in the next week.

This is for a different visa type and investor visas are notoriously individual. Stay cool.


Michkin, that's great news.. I noticed you posted this news right after you started fretting about when you'd get your i-view date.. typical!
