EAD transferred to field office, please help
Hi,
I have filed an extension for an employment authorization card (i-795)
with the Vermont Service Center. After almost 2 months, I've received
a notice stating that the application has been transferred to a NY
field office.
This approach seems a bit unorthodox, I have not heard of EAD's being
handled by field offices.
Is there anything I can do to expedite the processing? My EAD is due
to expire on May 9th.
I sincerely appreciate any suggestions. If you have had a similar
experience, please let me know within what time was the application
processed in a field office.
Thank you,
Elena L.

Re: EAD transferred to field office, please help
hello Lena, I have the same problem like your. my EAD expired on 04-23-2003
and I will be out of a job if I don't have a new one asap. My local INS
office telling me that they will take 90 days to get my renew application
processed. I have an Immigration Lawyer working on my case and try to speed
it up for me. If you know some way to make it done faster, please tell me as
well. If I know some thing else later that may help us, I will e mail you.
Good luck
