Default EAD extension processing

Anyone filed for an extension of their EAD recently? USCIS.gov shows the full 90 days for processing time for general applications, I was wondering if that applied to extension applications too?
I kept forgetting to check the expiry date and I think my 1 year might be about to come up. My job is not going to be happy if I am going to be unable to work for 90 days. Oops! (keeping my fingers crossed in hope that I have a 2 year one...)

I think you mean "renewal EAD", not "extension", right?

Yes, it takes around 90 days to get the new EAD in the mail.

You are unauthorized to work during the gap between the EADs.

I think the only way you'll have a 2-year EAD is if you entered the USA on a K-3 visa.

I guess I crossed the right fingers, I do have a 2 year EAD. I have an L2 visa. And 120 days before it expires I will be filing my I-765!
