E3 Visa - Prevailing Wage
Hi,
On the eta 9035 form it is neccessary to declare the prevailing wage for the
profession, and we are researching this for the employer. Does anyone have
links to official sites showing these wages?
So far we wound:
http://www.flcdatacenter.com/OesQuic...ear=6&source=1
http://online.onetcenter.org/link/summary/25-3011.00
One of these is a wage for california and one is for the whole of america.
Which one has to be used?
Also, the codes for these occupations are not 3 digit codes as is requested
on the LCA form. Does anybody know how the Onet code used for the prevailing
wage relates to the occupational code, if at all?
Thank you for your help,
Josie

You can get the prevailing wage from the Department of Labor for the
state in which the job will be located. As part of the PERM process,
they must be involved anyway. Some states report their data to the FLC
data center and use that, others have separate activities.
You mentioned California. If that is the state, you can get the
information from:
tabular data: (available by county, by occupation, etc)
<http://www.labormarketinfo.edd.ca.gov/cgi/career/?PAGEID=3&SUBID=152>
These do not give the result of a Prevailing Wage request, but can help
to decide about job descriptions. (CA wages are generally quite high)
application for Labor Certifications:
67&SUBID=113>
California has a big project to bring the listings current.
These are faxed in and they respond. Other states have differenct
systems. Use the links at the FLC to go to the state of the job.
We have recently worked with a job in Maryland. They have an on-line
system. We found the prevailing wage ends up near the 3rd level for the
wages reported on the FLC pages.
For what it is worth.
