E3 Eligibility
 

My question is would a Marketing Manager be considered a speciality occupation?
While I don’t have a degree, I have 11 years of work experience in the field together with my Advanced and Associate Diplomas in Business (Marketing) and a Certificate IV in Business (Sales and Marketing).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, I had found that information after visiting the Canberra site and believe Marketing Manager fits the bill. I was hoping somebody may have entered under E3 in that position and could give me some extra advice.

I am concerned if my qualifications would meet the requirements of a four year bachelor's degree. I would like to think they do, of course, utilising the 3 for 1 rule but not sure how much weight the Diploma's carry.

The issue for you is not so much about your experience, but whether the position of "marketing manager" REQUIRES a bachelor degree as a minimum educational requirement.

O*Net describes it as Job Zone Four: Considerable Preparation Needed

I wonder if the title of Marketing Director or General Manager - Marketing would carry more weight.
