Default E2 Visa stressssssssss.

Is there anybody out currently trying for an E2 visa or am i the only sucker out there. Do you all suffer from the same frustrations.
I have lost out on 1 business allready after the due-dilligence stage and am now looking at another.
The seller nearly fainted when he was told how long it takes to get the visa, my visa specialist says we could go out on a B2 and then change our status to an E when we get there, we would then at least be in the states waiting.
Has anybody else tryed this.
Anybodys experiences i would like to hear about. Please get messaging.
Thanks.

Our E-2 came through lightening speed, but I think we had a very good
immigration lawyer. We personally didn't want to risk screwing it up
and then losing our position with the US Immigration office that
approves these visas. The way we looked at it, the few thousand
dollars we spent with the lawyer was worth it as the paperwork went in
squeaky clean and was approved. If you get it in the queue and then
get you application rejected you lose all of that time. For what it's
worth!

Hi

My advise is DO NOT DO IT

It is possible to do this route, but you will have to go back to home consulate for passpost stamping and is risky

The consulate will be the ones to decide whether or not to grant E visa. The service centre could approve you but when you go back to home country for interview they could over turn the decision on interview

Your whole family will have to come back for interview/stamping, who will run this business in your absence especially if you get appointment/fly back and consulate re-schedule appointment??

Might/might not work, not something I would wish to risk
