Default E2 Visa

Advice needed please.

Is it worth the risk to sell all to obtain an E2 visa?

How much did you invest?

Please give your opinion on pro's and con's.

Many Thanks in advance.

No.

Respectfully, does it matter? All that's important is how much you're willing to risk vs can you weather losing everything you've risked.

Since you ask, you must be prepared to lose the entire investment... and if you "sell all" what will you live on while you're in the US?

IMHO, it's just a bad idea right from the start - not the visa bit, but the "sell all" aspect to your plan.

Just have a search. It's something that gets asked and answered almost weekly.

End of day, all depends on personal circumstances.

If you're young, don't have a family, have no other visa options, can afford to flush the money away, then the visa does the job. Anything else and it's a risk and no one can answer that for you.

You own or buy business (does not get you permanent resident status i.e. no green card)You must be a national of a qualifying Treaty countries. The business must have a minimum value of around $150k (more the better) bearing in mind you will need somewhere to live and with any startup business you will need at least 2 years living money as back up. So a figure of $350k would be a nearer minimum (E-2 visas)
