E2 / E3 Visa - Can my wife work?
Hi, I hope someone can help.
I'm being offered a job in the US. I have both British and Australian citizenship. The employer has E2 visa status and has said they can apply for an E2 visa. However, will this allow my wife to work in the US?
The other option I have is an E3 visa which I understand does allow my wife to work?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Karl.

Your wife can definitely work if you are on E3. She gets a derivative E3D visa. It takes about 3 months (info per forum) to get EAD and she can then work for anyone.
Cheers.

Dependents of E visa holders may apply for work authorisation.
